Inspired by riding mountains and surfing oceans, Après Coaching Sessions are a nod to the discipline and diligence necessary to master these epic environments, the freedom found in doing so, and the reward of post-excursion celebrations known as après-ski. Après Sessions, on and off the mountain, are holistic meaning an integrated whole experience.

 

Holistic health coaching considers the whole human system to spearhead what we find in the state of “flow” resulting in optimal performance and wellness in all realms of life.

Food ... Love It & It Will Love You Right Back

Holistic health begins with nutrition and a few other basics... with this baseline health comes everything else. We now know our gut, our brains, and our hearts are inextricably connected. Super nutrition leads to clear thinking which leads to better decisions for our minds, bodies, intuition - a.k.a. gut instinct, and our hearts. But let’s talk about food.

Let's eat what is grown naturally without artificial assistance – yes, organic. Pesticides and their friends are clearly not doing anyone any favors. There are ways to eat organic and leverage that sustainably within our budgets if need be – there is always a way.

Let’s eat with the seasons. Eat raw lighter greens when they come into abundance when the weather is warm. Eat hearty sautéed greens when the cold weather chills you to the bone and calls for foods that support you against frigid temps. Enjoy fresh fruit as it is available locally in summer and baked squashes in fall and winter. Nature knows. It offers you what is best for you and right on time.

Let's make our own food more often. Let's put our own hands in our food with intention as we prepare it. Allow this action to ground us and by all means take us away from technology a few evenings each week.

Let's thank those who grew our food and especially those who do so with your overall wellbeing in mind allowing for vitality and longevity in order to support yourself and your families well into the future.

Let’s fall in love with food again versus seeing it as something that is against us. All the green juice in the world isn’t going to save us from ourselves, so by all means pay attention to food, but we must also look past food as a vehicle for change. Good quality food is your friend. And when you love it and enjoy it, you can certainly eat cake more than once a year on your birthday.
