Nutrition. You Are What You Eat?
Yep. And then some.
As a holistic health coach, most folks expect me to spearhead our sessions with nutrition. And I do. While I don’t speak up a ton online about nutrition, this is number one. With this health comes everything else. My current client base has a pretty good handle on nutrition. However, we continually tweak this and that, perhaps add some super geeked out items coming from various departments depending on current needs, then sprinkle with fairy dust. But seriously…
With the assistance of my M.D. turned functional medicine doctor at close hand, we have full workups available to those interested and immense knowledge at our fingertips to refine everything head to toe.
But at the end of the day, we can eat all the kale in the world and biohack until the cows come home, yet still feel like something is missing… just not quite mostly stoked on life. Which is why we move from health coaching to holistic health coaching.
Nutrition is everything, and simultaneously just the gateway. Great nutrition allows for clear-headedness, focus, and therefore progression in all realms of life. As long as we are not orthorexic about it. Coupled with movement and a few other basics, we might even be winning major races on the mountain or on Main Street, but still not performing exceptionally on the whole. Hint: even when we think we are.
With the additions of Eastern philosophy and Western Psychology applied to what a standard health coaching certification offers, we tap further into areas that can be immensely humbling, but that truly allow for growth and progression. We then add some really cool and fun structure, and then you are on your way, taking yourself from where you are now, to where you want to be… to that extraordinary life.
