APRÈS

Après Sessions embrace embodied and progressive practices. Holistic Health. Train Your Brain. Find Your Freedom.

What’s next?  SESSION IT

Our holistic approach to optimal health and performance empowers you to discover your true potential.

Everything we do is about finding your freedom.

Why “Après”? Because “after” coaching, you will find your line.

Inspired by riding mountains and surfing oceans, Après Coaching Sessions are a nod to the discipline and diligence necessary to master these epic environments, the freedom found in doing so, and the reward of post-excursion celebrations known as après-ski. Après Sessions, on and off the mountain, are holistic meaning an integrated whole experience.

Holistic health coaching considers the whole human system to spearhead what we find in the state of “flow” resulting in optimal performance and wellness in all realms of life.

RIDE FREE /// MIA TOGO

Mia Togo, Life Coach and Yoga Teacher, Yoga Teacher Trainer and Mentor, grew up with a love of equestrian which taught her in roaming the great outdoors that the world is so much bigger than herself. From competing in equestrian to becoming a professional dancer in Los Angeles, she fostered grit and determination allowing herself to live a very free life. However, she also found that all the success in the world could not power through some of her biggest losses, deepest wounds, negative self-talk, and ultimately her shadow side.

Working with a very gifted coach for many years (since passed, Mona Miller) she gathered the tools necessary, along with a personal and professional commitment to her yoga practice, to gain further clarity and stand in her truths.

We all have a shadow side. It doesn’t go away. We all have areas of life that are affected by it. It is also to be cherished as it is what gives contrast to our bright lights. So finding tools to manage what our other practices may not always cut through can be the key to following the light.

Working with Mona Miller, and continuing that same work day-to-day, she found her path to true freedom. Success on the outside often does not equate to success on the inside. All the travel and clothes, accolades and certifications, and athletic, business and artistic accomplishments in the world can only bring so much freedom. Why should you settle?  #SessionIt

SOFT SKILLS

While we are in full support of men and women equally, a lot of attention is being brought to the roles of women in business given the recent U.S. presidential election.

The majority of people who work in holistic coaching, wellness, personal development, health care, and related realms happen to be women.  Women striving - we can only assume by their chosen professions - to make the world a better place.

The world truly needs, now more than ever, the “soft skills” both women and men have to offer.  Much like any athlete, practicing is the only way to improve and expand upon those skills.

”Knowledge, education and experience – whether in the mountains or in business – are crucial, but so is developing soft skills." -John Winsor, CEO at Speakeasy Guild

The soft skills according to John Winsor include:

Vision

Anticipation

Commitment

Flow

Grit

Partners

A few more to consider…

Communication

Self-awareness

Teamwork

Collaboration

Adaptability

And, the ability to show vs. tell.

So while we are still in winter mode, NOW is great time to reassess your goals as well as your skills, especially your soft skills.  Do so before spring blooms, rolling right into summer... a sea of outdoor events, kids out of school, and enjoying the sunshine... so that you can perform at your best throughout this year.

How can you cultivate further self-awareness in order to continually reassess and improve upon your skill sets?

What are your goals?

And how can you meet them while keeping your health and sanity in check AND while continuing to make a difference?

Man or woman, we are all connected, and a second set of eyes on your future will take you from where you are now to where you want to be.

DIVE DEEP

We’re into diving into the depths of life because that's where the magic happens.  You can refuse to step into your truth, refuse to face your fears, and take a seemingly safe, logical and predictable path, but let’s be honest… it won’t be very much fun.  Why?  Because everywhere you go, both your fears and your unmet dreams are walking right beside you.  The unacknowledged truths of your inner world will wreak havoc on your life by attracting the same unmet desires in other people, other jobs, other places, ultimately sending you into one tailspin after another.  Do you want to lose hours, weeks, years of your life to all that?  Ultimately, the choice and the responsibility is always yours. Come après with us and ride into your most desired direction. See you on the flip side!

I’m already successful. Why would I hire a coach?

As a rather new industry, we hear this a lot.  Business coaching does not equate to the small business advisor at the local branch offering free services.  Life coaching does not equate to therapy, which may take you in for years.  It does not equate to a nutritionist whose role is a bit different from a holistic health coach.  Not to mention that “successful” is a relative term.

Coaching holds you accountable.  Coaching finds your WHY.  Why do you want what you want?  And even when you think you know your why, it will find your next why.  Coaching takes you from where you are now to where you want to be.  And to places you have not yet even realized you want to go.  Coaching is not for the weak.  A great coach will actually say to you what no one else will dare say.

The person affording your life may not be there tomorrow.  The person emotionally supporting you might disappear despite asking you to always have their back.  You could lose everything you have built in all realms of life in a heartbeat.

Are you prepared?  Have you dug deep enough to know what you want if you could have anything?  Have you dug deep enough to know what you want even if you lost everything you currently have tomorrow?

From fitting into that hot dress, to traveling to far away lands, to giving your kids the upbringing you did not have...  what do you really want, and more importantly, why?

No matter how successful you are in life, happenings will always arise to knock you off your center.  When all else falls away, all you really have is you.

Investing in yourself is saying that you are vested in you.  Exactly what it takes to stay centered, relax, keep progressing, and create more of what you already have as a “successful” person.

Why Après?

We love to Après!

Après-Ski.  Après-Surf.  Après-Ride.  Après-Work.  Après is a verb.

But wanna make something happen?

Après(after)-Coaching, we find our line.

Work hard, play harder.  Discipline creates freedom.  Take action.  Find your line.  Do not give a F*CK about what anyone else, not one single person, thinks.  We all have shit.  We all have insecurities. We all have problems.  We all have family, even if not by blood.  We all need more time.  We all need support.  We all need space.  And at the same time we need each other.  Whoever you are thinking about at this very moment has “stuff”, too.  It’s not all about you, all of the time.  And simultaneously, we simply must, from Guru’s Jazzmatazz:  “Take a look at yourself, take a look at yourself, take one good look, take a look at yourself.”   You can sit around and talk shit if you’d like, always pointing the finger outward.  But how’s that working out for you?  You could also take all of that energy and direct it back within in order to notice your own ways, make changes, and make your next moves.  We simply must in order to find balance.  Without balance, we don't have much.  Without even realizing it, we will keep looking outward to feel good instead of inward.  Always stand up for yourself.  Always stand in your truth.  And then very quickly move on.  Take responsibility.  Go within.  It might suck.  It can be hard.  It can be the absolute worst.  But chances are, someone else is actually digging deep, deeper, deepest, owning what is theirs, finding necessary and neutral support, taking right action, and managing every curveball that comes their way with absolute style and grace, riding that lovely line.

And yeah, let's après.
